The U13 Girls North were away at Broxbourne Peacocks who were also promoted to division one this season

A starting line up of Emily in goal with a back three of Edith, Eva and Olivia behind the midfield two of Roshini and Violet. Bea T, Elizabeth and Megan played as the front three with Bella, Christina, Gabi and Lauren on the bench.

The early possession and calmness on the ball gave an indication of how the game would go.

Roshini and Violet won the early midfield battle and were able to pass wide for Bea and Elizabeth to cause havoc for then Broxbourne defence crossing into Megan to test the keeper.

The defence were in control when Broxbourne attacked and Edith showed her determination by never giving up to win the ball back on what looked like a lost cause.

Gabi came on as centre back and settled in immediately allowing Olivia to move into midfield and drive forward with the ball and get some shots away.

Bella and Christina went into defence and continued the good work done by Edith and Eva.

As the half was close to the end Lauren produced a moment of magic to score from the left wing and we were 1-0 up at the break.

The message was clear, more of the same but earlier shots if possible and keep it tight at the back.

A perfect start to the second half with an attack down the left wing and Lauren crossing with pin point accuracy for Elizabeth to head home the team’s first ever headed goal to make it 2-0.

The girls continued to dominate with shots coming in from the front three assisted by Olivia and Roshini.

A lapse in concentration at the back allowed Broxbourne to pull a goal back but the girls didn’t let it affect them and were soon up the other end again.

The link up play between Lauren and Megan was a joy to watch and it wasn’t long before Lauren set up Megan to make it 3-1 after a long kick from Emily.

Christina moved to centre back and looked comfortable alongside Edith and Eva.

Emily was called into action to make a great save from a one v one but handled it with her usual calmness.

Violet went close late on with a long range effort and the girls ended the match victorious 3-1.
