The girls were in League Cup action away at undefeated Garston.
With Taylor suffering a muscle strain in the warm up she joined Phoebe, Ruby and Sophia F on the bench.
The starting 11 was Alana in goal with Bella, Diya, Poppy and Zara in defence behind Alice, Lucy and Sophia B in midfield and a front three of Alexia, Isabelle and Lexi.
The girls were on the front foot from the start playing some good football but unable to create any clear cut chances. Garston broke up the left wing on 21 minutes and the cross was knocked in by the Garston striker to make it 1-0. The rest of the half was evenly balanced with Ruby coming on at right wing and Phoebe and Sophia F into defence for their debuts.
Taylor was able to play the second half which started evenly but after 5 minutes a missed tackle in midfield allowed Garston a shot which was taken well to make it 2-0. Another missed tackle on 57 minutes and it was 3-0.
The girls controlled play well in patches but just not with the consistency as last week. The wingers were making good runs but still not enough shots to test the keeper. Sophia B making runs through midfield trying to bring the forwards into the game.
On 63 minutes it was 4-0 when the ball wasn’t cleared. The last five minutes saw Harvesters test the Garston keeper more than the rest of the match with a flurry of shots.
So a defeat in the first match in this league based competition with another match next week to focus on.
Positive debuts for both Phoebe and Sophia F who showed aggression when tackling and were comfortable on the ball when in possession.
