Harvesters U15 Girls were away at Borehamwood 2000 in much better conditions than the last time we played there.
The girls settled from the kick off and were immediately on the front foot pressing for an early goal. It didn’t come but patient build up from back to front soon worked and on 19 minutes a corner swung in by Rheilly Evans was headed home by Amy Smith to make it 1-0.
It was 2-0 on 24 minutes when Rheilly Evans scores direct from a free kick. On 37 minutes a determined run up the right wing from Mia Pullan saw her find a cross into the box for Katie Leigh to tap in with her right foot.
Three minutes after the break Eliza Telford crossed the ball in for Tatyana Barton to make it 4-0. On 51 minutes Tatyana Barton made it 5-0 with a well struck shot from outside the area flying over the keeper’s head.
On 61 minutes it was 6-0 when Katie Leigh headed home a Rheilly Evans corner. Four minutes later Eliza Telford had a shot parried by the keeper but Hollie Thornton reacted first and shot to make it 7-0. Katie Leigh scored her third with her left to give her the perfect hat trick on 73 minutes.
So a final score of 8-0 and a great performance from the whole squad from replacement keeper Ruby Evans via defence, midfield to the strikers.
