Another thriller with Bury

It was 50/50 as to whether the game would go ahead, we agreed to play and then the snow came. Luckily it was a brief shower so we kicked off as planned. It was a cold one and some of the girls looked like bluebury's!!!

Bury started well and pushed our girls right from the start, they had most chances in the first ten minutes, with some good passing. Our girls soon warmed up and in the second quarter El Cason decided enough was enough and slipped into second gear and did what se does best. Up the line, shimmy and great goal. This was repeated three minutes later from a run from defence. Bury, dug in and were soon scoring too. Hope, in goal made some great interceptions and saved us from conceding more goals. Eva was also busy up front and with some great shots from that strong left foot of hers just missed several times. Bury had their passing game on and really came strong but we held until half time.

Second half, with Eva securing the goal we had Anna and Milly up front. What a great passing pair these two made, resulting in Milly grabbing a great goal. Then Hope pushed up and a lovely one two with Milly and Anna was there to smash the ball right down the centre and almost through the net. Amelia took centre position and tackled and tackled, if it wasn't for her strength in midfield we would have really been on the back foot. Unfortunately she had to leave the field after a knock to her ankle, eager to come back on but better to rest it. Finally - player of the match to Milly, she was forward creating lovely passing moves but then tracking back to help defence and then back up front causing the opposition keeper some real problems. Great football girls
