Berko Bring It On!

So, not our first time meeting and we knew it would be a tough game. We first played Berkhamsted Reds in pre season and have seen them grow immensely since then. Taking this in mind we started with a slight change in formation and opted for India to boss defence. Wow and she did that with gusto, the great part being that when she wanted to be let off the leash for one of her amazing dribbling runs she communicated with Milly who would then drop back to cover. With Olivia(El Cazo) on the other wing also making her runs it was perfect defend and counter attack football. Something new in todays game where El Cazo showed that not only is she the goal scoring machine that we have come to love to watch but she has developed her game and the number of crosses she put in was selfless and real teamwork. So with Amelia holding the centre ground with those dogged tackles Milly was also free to push up and try on goal and we all know she has the speed to beat anyone end to end! Along came the break and we put Eva and Eda on, they have become the perfect partnership. Eda has an amazing ability to read the game and time her through balls to perfection with Eva running on to these it was a lethal pairing. Eva will not give up on any ball and I'm sure she herself ended up in the opposition goal more than once! A massive well done to Hope here who had the green on and although freezing cold managed to keep alert and another clean sheet for her stint in goal. Hope then came on Pitch and like Amelia she dominated the centre. With Berko now knocking on the door we had the amazing Anna Burgess take centre and she has just gone from strength to strength, even the opposition praised her lovely passing moves. A massive mention to the Berkhamsted goalie today, there wasn't a part of her body she didn't use to make a save, one tough cookie! Finally a great well done too to the opposition numbers 2 and 64, they were a real threat today with a big appetite for our goal.
