Goal Fest at Garston

The title says it all!

Garston were straight of the blocks with a goal in under 10 seconds with some lovely one-two passing from the centre spot and a great corner shot. Harvesters were not to be put off and Millie showed why she is the perfect midfielder with a great defensive tackle and to go almost all the way to the goal line to ensure she scored. The game was then pure enjoyment to watch. We would score with some superb dribbling from Olivia and some classic right or even left foot finishes. Garston would then recreate their magic from the centre spot and score another.

At half time India came out from goal to show she would not be denied and with her and Olivia up front the goals were coming from all over the pitch. Eva, who was mixing it in the centre took India's place in goal and I think we will all remember that super diving save she pulled off - world class!

This is where I have to mention Anna and Hope for they were a tackling machine in midfield and defence and the battle between them and the Garston number 4 was awesome. Again credit to the Garston number 4 for her attacking football, between her India and Olivia the game was end to end. Anna and Hope held great positions which would let Millie get up front and how fast was she to track back when required? Well done today girls and Eva gets an extra special mention for her versatility on pitch and in goal.
