Harvesters U16 South were in the Challenge Cup final against Bushey Rangers Pumas from the Red division with an eye on a league and cup double.
The boys started well cancelling out the threat from Bushey but unable to make any clear cut chances of their own. The Bushey defenders always seemed to be there to block any shooting opportunities.
On 26 minutes an attack down the right wing for Harvesters was cut out and Bushey were quick to break and score to go 1-0 up.
Half time came and the boys knew they were still in the game and it was just a case of taking their chances.
Ryan Mason was forced into two saves from direct freekicks which he dealt with well.
A switch to three at the back with an extra striker saw Harvesters camped in the Bushey half but the clear cut chance just wouldn’t come and eventually time ran out.
Still, a season to be proud of. White division winners, Challenge Cup runners up and County Cup semi finalists.
