Harvesters U16 South were in league action on a hot Sunday morning I need the first match of a double header.
The boys started well and took the game to Finchley but on 13 minutes a Finchley corner was played to the edge of the penalty area and a well struck shot found the back of the net.
Knowing that we were after six points from the two matches the boys attacked from the kick off and on 15 minutes Nathan Thornton pressed on the left wing to win the ball and float in a cross to the back post for Harry Ruane to head home to equalise.
Two minutes later Shai Coombs broke away and hit the bar with a well struck shot. Half time came and the boys took control of the game in the second half.
Despite pressure it took time for the winning goal to be scored but on 42 minutes Joseph Curran hit the ball towards the goal and a deflection put it beyond the keeper to make it 2-1 and another three points.
