Harvesters U16 South were in midweek league action away at Northwood White with the temperature hitting 27 degrees.
The boys got off to the perfect start when Shai Coombs played a well weighted through ball which the Northwood keeper didn’t get control of before TJ Barton pounced and poked the ball home to put the boys 1-0 up. Shai Coombs hit the crossbar midway through the half before Joseph Curran added a second in the final minute of the half by pressing the keeper following a pass from Stanley Maisey.
Harvesters had further chances to increase the lead but were also living dangerously by giving the ball away too frequently. TJ Barton hit the bar in the 65th minute and it looked like it would be just the two goals until with two minutes to go a long throw from Nathan Thornton to Shai Coombs was passed to Joseph Curran to hit the ball home for a 3-0 win.
