Harvesters U16 South were back in league action for the first time since the end of January and were up against local rivals St Albans City East.
Harvesters were immediately on the front foot and created early chances. In the ninth minute Stanley Maisey played a great pass out to the right wing for TJ Barton to whip in a perfect cross which Lucas King passed for Shai Coombs to score and mand make it 1-0. Further chances came and went in the first half with the best being from a Sam Mistry corner when Zak Bensissi hit the post.
The second half started in similar fashion with Harvesters pressing. On 53 minutes a perfectly weighted through ball from Lucas King was taken in his stride by TJ Barton to hit home and make it 2-0. Eight minutes later a corner was swung in from Lucas King where Harry Ruane was waiting to head a powerful header back across the goal to make it 3-0.
With time running out there as still time for more goals and on 78 minutes Shai Coombs slotted the ball to Lucas King who beat the keeper to make it 4-0. One minute later a Harvesters had another corner and in a repeat of the third goal Lucas King floated in a corner for Harry Ruane to head home and finish the match 5-0 winners.
