Harvesters U16 South were in County Cup semi final action at home to St Albans City EJA with each team knowing each other very well.
The opening stages were tight with both sides sizing each other up and Harvesters had a couple of chances that they failed to capitalise on. In the 24th minute St Albans scored to go 1-0 up. Harvesters didn’t let the goal affect them and continued to press and make chances until half time.
The crowd of close to 100 were entertained in the second half with both teams passing the ball around well and Ryan Mason pulling off a string of fantastic saves for the boys. Harvesters continued to press until the end and finished with four strikers on the pitch but were unable to get the clear chance to equalise.
The boys gave everything but just came up short but still have the League and Challenge Cup to focus on until the end of the season.
