Harvesters U16 South had a tricky away league match at Belstone in a first versus second fixture. Harvesters had the better of the early exchanges although Belstone were dangerous on the counter attack but were kept quiet by the solid defence of Harvesters.
A clinical pass by TJ Barton on 27 minutes found Harry Ruane who was able to lob the Belstone keeper to put Harvesters 1-0 up. A penalty claim followed before half time but it was waved away by the referee.
Harvesters conceded a free kick just outside the penalty area in the 54th minute which Belstone scored from to equalise. However, Harvesters were back in front straight from the kick off when a Belstone clearance was closed down by Nathan Thornton who found Stanley Maisey to pass to Sam Mistry to score and make it 2-1 to Harvesters.
A second penalty shout for Harvesters was again denied by the referee and on 70 minutes Belstone were awarded a free kick just inside the Harvesters half. It was taken quickly splitting the defence and Belstone equalised. There was still time left and Harvesters continued to press and had a third penalty claim denied.
With time running out Stanley Maisey played a perfect pass to Joseph Curran to slot home a winner and the boys maintained the perfect league form remaining top of the table.
