Heavenly in Hemel

Harvesters U16 South put their first loss of the season firmly behind them with a convincing win in the second round of the County Cup away at Hemel Hempstead Town Youth U16 White.

Hemel kept the boys at bay during the early stages but on 18 minutes a well placed pass by Louis Di Carlo found TJ Barton to hit home and put the boys 1-0 up. Nine minutes later Louis Di Carlo found Joseph Curran who layed the ball off to Stanley Maisey to make it 2-0.

A quick throw from Shai Coombs to Lucas King in the 33rd minute set up the next goal following a pass into the penalty area which was finished by Joseph Curran. The fourth goal came two minutes later when Joseph Curran layed off the ball to Louis Di Carlo who hit the back of the net. There was still time for another before half time when Lucas King ran down the wing before crossing to Joseph Curran to make it 5-0 at the interval.

The boys came out on the hunt for more goals and TJ Barton went on a run two minutes into the second half and crossed for Harry Ruane to open his account. TJ Barton added a seventh goal following a pass from Lucas King in the 50th minute. A minute later it was 8-0 with a solo effort from Lucas King from outside the box.

Lucas King added the ninth goal as he dribbled through the defence in the 54th minute. Joseph Curran got his hat trick in the 61st minute assisted by a deflection. The boys were all eager to score and in the 67th minute the ball ricocheted off a few players before Harry Ruane took control and made it 11-0.

A driving run and cross from Connor Blight from right back in the 71st minute found Harry Ruane who scored for his hat trick. There was still time for one more when Nathan Thornton layed the ball back to Shaheel Coorjee to finish and make it 13-0.
