Harvesters U16 South were in League Cup action against Enfield Town White with a place in the Quarter finals at stake. The early passage of play was even with both teams having possession without any real clear cut chances.
It wasn’t until the 27th minute when Fazan Uddin was tripped in the penalty area when the referee pointed to the spot and Joe Curran stepped up to send the keeper the wrong way to put Harvesters 1-0 up. It stayed that way until half time.
A Sam Mistry corner in the 47th minute was met by a powerful Joe Boyle header to make it 2-0. A comfortable lead with the boys playing well until Enfield got a goal back in the 52nd minute when the ball was given away.
Enfield then got the bit between their teeth and when the ball wasn’t closed down in the 59th minute they equalised. Another goal followed 10 minutes later in the same manner.
With Harvesters pushing for the equaliser to take the match to extra time they were caught on the break with 3 minutes to go when Enfield scored a fourth.
