U16 South win in style

Harvesters U16 South were back in action after a two week break and continued where they left off. This was a league match against Hadley Wood and Wingate Foxes and the boys took control from the start. On 8 minutes Lucas King had the ball and burst into the area to put Harvesters 1-0 up.

Despite dominating possession it was a struggle to add further goals thanks to the woodwork and the opposition keeper. However, on 28 minutes Sam Mistry floated over a corner for Joe Boyle to power home his header. Seven minutes later the same combination made it 3-0 with a corner from Sam Mistry finished off by Joe Boyle.

The half time message was more of the same and on 48 minutes Shaheel Coorjee played the ball down the right wing for TJ Barton to roll the defender and then beat the keeper from a tight angle. Two minutes later TJ Barton crossed the ball from the right for Harry Ruane to make it 5-0. A through ball from Lucas King on 53 minutes found Harry Ruane who lobbed the keeper to make it 6-0.

Hadley Wood pressed into the Harvesters penalty area and were awarded a penalty. Ryan Mason dived well although the ball hit the post. On 59 minutes Shai Coombs ran up the left wing and put in a perfect pass for Connor Blight to hit the ball home for 7-0. There was still time for one more goal and a through ball from Joe Boyle was dummied by Harry Ruane and Joe Curran scored to make it 8-0.
