Cup success

The U16 South were in fine form in th League Cup second round away at Maccabi London Lions Blue.

The boys got off to the perfect start when Shai Coombs made a great run and pass d to TJ Barton to slit home after 3 minutes. Two minutes later Shai Coombs crossed the ball for Fazan Uddin to make it 2-0. After 10 minutes Sam Mistry played a through ball to Shai Coombs to lob the keeper.

Shai Coombs played a great ball to Fazan Uddin on 19 minutes to make it 4-0. Goals started to come quickly as Lucas King took a corner on 28 minutes and Harry Ruane added a fifth. A minute later Harry Ruane played the ball to Joe Curran to add the sixth. On 32 minutes Lucas King went an a solo run to make it 7-0. Harry Ruane added an eighth before half time following a pass from Fazan Uddin.

Five minutes into the second half Joe Boyle's shot was parried only for Joe Curran to react first and score. Three minutes later Lucas King passed to Shaheel Coorjee to make it 10-0. Lucas King then set up Harry Ruane to score his third on 55 minutes and it was Lucas King who added the twelfth having received a long Joe Boyle throw in.

A powerful defensive header from Nathan Thornton set up Harry Ruane who found TJ Barton to score. On 63 minutes Shai Coombs went on a solo run to make it 14-0. Harry Ruane then passed to Lucas King on 69 minutes to score his third and the final goal was scored by Fazan Uddin from the penalty spot for his hat-trick.
