Our second consecutive fixture against Colney's Blues and for the second week running our stout defence of Louis, George G and Stan with the dependable Josh behind them did not concede. All four were excellent as usual and conducted matters with a minimum of fuss to the point where I can't remember Josh having to make too many saves.
The game was a bit scrappy in truth, with the referee making some curious decisions (Oscar's 'back pass'??) but the team worked hard and was very disciplined, an impressive effort not to tire too much with no subs due to Alex's rugby-induced absence.
The game was settled by Oscar's first goal of the season, a bullet of a corner from Cimi flashing over to the back post where our combustible midfielder put a textbook header back across their keeper and into the net. That was just before halftime, and although chances for either side were rare thereafter Harvesters were good value for a 1-0 victory.
