Harvesters Wildcats U10's v Edmonton Rangers Cougars U10's

The first half saw Harvesters Wildcats produce some scintillating football with the first goal of the game coming from Sam Fullbrook, who latched on to a through ball from Sam Rodea to finish low to the goalkeepers left.

A few minutes later Sam Rodea then intercepted a pass from the opposition’s goalkeeper to take a first time shot from half way in the oppositions half with a thunderous finish.

Following good work down the right-hand side, starting with Jack Wakeling playing a one two with Rhys Kerner, Rhys put the ball into the box which Sam Fullbrook collected and slotted low to the goalkeepers left for his second goal.

Joshua Seeby playing in goal was largely untroubled, although he was called into action a couple of times. On one occasion Joshua came out of goal to collect the ball and he rolled it out to Anish Tresise at left back who then went on an amazing run which culminated in a pass to Louis Hann who slotted pass the keeper for his first goal of the game.

Louis was again on the scoresheet with his second, after a quick corner from Rhys which was played to Louis then playing a nice one two together resulted in Louis scoring from a very tight angle.

After good work down the left-hand side by Sam Fullbrook he passed to Sam Rodea who put the ball into a dangerous area and just like the week before Louis was in the right place at the right time with a neat finish to complete his hat-trick.

With five minutes to play Edmonton Rangers pushed for a goal and an attack led to a corner. The corner was well taken and a very brave header from Anish unfortunately resulted in an own goal no keeper would have saved.

The second half saw a few changes for both teams, Edmonton Rangers pushed forward more after half time forcing Rhys Kerner to make some very good saves, unfortunately Edmonton Rangers pressure eventually paid off and they scored four goals in quick succession.

After a slow start to the second half Harvesters produced a good counter attack and passing move involving Jack and Louis, resulting in Louis being fouled in the box and the referee giving a penalty to Harvesters.

Joshua Seeby now out of goal stepped up to take the penalty, which was well saved by the goalkeeper.

There were further goals from Sam Fullbrook and Sam Rodea to complete their respective hat-tricks.

A big thank you to Matthew Philips who played for the opposition team for the whole match and played some excellent football and made some very good runs.

Well done to both teams on a very good game of football.
