On a misty damp afternoon, the Leopards played their first home game since 1st November. Edgware Town were the visitors to AL4 in what turned out to be the second hard fought and close game this season between the two clubs. The 1st half was competitive and evenly matched. Daniel McKinstry making a double save from close range, bringing applause from the crowd as Michael Bird cleared the ball. We saw the regular image of Daniel Austin confidently breaking into midfield and setting up play. Milo Hegarty playing on the wing, hit a bullet of a shot from outside the box, only for the keeper to be equal to it. Edgware Town had a number of shots from long range but the Leopards were in safe hands today with Daniel. The second half started off in the same way as the first, both teams equal matched and making it hard for each other. Jonah Howgego playing in midfield was very effective, switching the play from side to side and setting up attacks down the wing. Harris Young showed off some of his tricks and had a long range shot go close. Mr Utility, Jack Horne had another good game, playing in different positions and being comfortable in all. Once again Daniel McKinstry matched everything that came his way, and was duly complimented by the away manager. CF Samuel O'Hare got off a good shot on his weaker foot, only to see it go just pass the post. The breakthrough for the Leopards came from George Small who hit one of his long shots and the ball squirmed past the Edgware keeper, for his 13th of the season. Well done to the Leopards for another performance against a strong and physical side. MOTM went to GK Daniel McKinstry for his succession of saves.
