Leopards v London Maccabi Lions Blues

The early morning mist had cleared by the time the Leopards kicked off in the autumn sunshine against London Maccabi Blues. Having not played for two weeks, the Leopards took a little while to brush away the cobwebs. The Lions pressed high but the boys stuck to playing out from the back and through the thirds. George scored his 5th of the season after he opened the scoring for the Leopards, Jonah pulled the ball back from the touchline for George to score bottom corner from the edge of the box. George nearly got his second, but his volley from outside the box clipped the crossbar. Dan in goal made some good saves and was also saved by Dan Austin who made a wonderful goal line clearance after never giving up and chasing the ball back. In the dying seconds of the 1st half, Dan at RB played the ball to Milo who played a long diagonal ball into space for Harris to run onto and score from a 1st time shot. The whistle went for half-time straight after the restart. The boys came out for the 2nd half knowing what they wanted to improve on and started well. Jack played the ball down the wing to Milo who put a cross into the box for Sam to control and calmly place it pass the keeper. According to Milo he meant that perfect cross  Sam scored his second after George pinched the ball off the midfielder high up the pitch and passed to Sam who once again was deadly from inside the box. Sam completed his hat trick and 12th of the season after Dan playing LW assisted. Michael and Jack were calm and cool at the back and helped the team start their attacks. The Leopards completed their goals for the afternoon when Harris slid the ball through from the edge of the box for Milo to score.
