The FA Referee Course for Women & Girls

Hertfordshire FA are pleased to bring to you another early access limited opportunity to upskill your football qualifications by getting into refereeing and attending The FA Referee Course.

If you are interested in expanding your involvement in football and also earning some extra cash for now or in the future, then learning how to be a referee can be a valuable skill and can create more opportunities. The FA Referee Course is designed to equip new referees with the key skills and knowledge they will need to be able to referee grassroots football matches safely and effectively. It is for learners aged 14 and over who want to referee mini soccer, 9 v 9 and/or 11 v 11 football. The course venue & date is listed below:

Hertfordshire FA, Community Football Centre, Baldock Road, Letchworth:
Tuesday 27th 6:30pm-9:30pm & Wednesday 28th August 9am-5pm
Learners resident in Hertfordshire will be prioritised.

Our website contains the below detail.

The below steps will guide you on what you will be required to complete:

Anyone interested in becoming a referee in Hertfordshire should start by completing the Guide to the Laws of the Game, which serves as the first step on the path to becoming a match official. After this has been completed, you should undertake the relevant Safeguarding Course, either the Safeguarding Children Course (if you are over the age of 16) or Safeguarding For All (if you are 14 and 15 years old). The learning must be completed on the learner FAN and nobody else’s. Leaners that are under the age of 16 will need to be given access to their account by their parent / guardian to be able to complete the above. Finally, you should then complete our Expression of Interest Form in order to receive an invitation to book on to The FA Referee Course.

We hope that this opportunity will give all female participants/players further progression in our game and will be able to contribute to the continuous growth of the women’s pathway.
