We enjoyed two tournament wins last summer and experienced the thrill of playing in two finals, but this Saturday's game is bigger. We're enjoying the push to finish in the top 3 of Division 1, yet there is a feeling that our season will be defined by what happens this Saturday. Can we reach the final and experience a league finals day at our first attempt?

We've always had extremely close games with Ruislip and drew 2-2 in the league earlier this season. Our best memory of playing Ruislip was two seasons ago when we were promoted to the top division. Our first game was away to Ruislip, who at the time were arguably the best side we would play that season. The nerves were there. If we lost there was no shame, the results didn't even count yet, but it would show how tough Division 1 would be. We won the game 1-0 and it gave us the impetus to push on and establish ourselves in the top flight. St Albans Yellows have been the team to beat this season winning 11 from 11, yet Ruislip beat them in the quarter final and will now be confident of winning the cup. We squeezed past Cheshunt FC in our quarter final with a last minute equalizer and a win on penalties. Some say you need a little luck to win a cup - is our name already on the trophy?

Ruislip currently sit above us in the league table one point ahead having played the same number of games. This game could not be more evenly matched. However, we have home advantage, which is where you come in. Can you come and support us on Saturday morning and make home advantage count? This game should be a wonderful showcase for girls football and we would love the club to get behind us.
