First league game

First league game this year and what a thriller!

This match had it all, end to end passing and dribbling, great tackles, super saves and lots of goals.

We started well but the opposition soon took the lead, we then found our rhythm with a counter strike and great goal from Olivia. The game then was literally a game of you score one we score one.

Our goalie then came on Pitch and showed that she wasn't to miss out on scoring and popped several in herself. Our replacement goalkeepers then showed that they had been watching India over the last weeks and made some good saves with only the slipperiness of the ball resulting in some of the goals.

Our defence and midfield held positions really well and the playing out from the back was a delight to watch. Considering we had no subs today Anna was amazing running the length of the pitch throughout. This one had her Weetabix this morning.

We hit the woodwork numerous times (6 or 7) and not only from our strikers but also Hope and Charlotte making super tackles and taking the ball all the way but to be denied at the last.

On another day the result would have been different, but today the opposition were well served by their keeper who made some outstanding fingertip saves and their counter was fast and efficient. A massive well done and thoroughly enjoyable game
