Harvesters U16 South dusted themselves down for the second match in the double header knowing defeat could see their title dreams disappear.
The boys didn’t start well and gave the ball away in the fifth minute and Enfield crossed from the left and headed home to lead 1-0. The rest of the half was even with Harvesters looking to claw their way back into the match.
The message at half time was to try and expose the Enfield fullbacks by playing down the wings and on 33 minutes the move of the match was rewarded in the equaliser. Shaheel Coorjee received the ball at right back and played the ball down the line to TJ Barton who beat the defender and crossed to Lucas King in the penalty area who squared to the oncoming Connor Blight to hit the back of the net.
Throughout the match Ryan Mason pulled off a number of saves to keep the boys in contention and late on there were chances to come away with the win.
The point leaves us level on points with Enfield at the top of the table with two games each to play.
