U13 East lost 2 nil at home to an organised and hard working Hadley Wood and Wingate Herons team.
The away team started with a very high energy and it took 20 minutes for East to start matching it. By then the boys were 2 nil down. The first goal was a header from a corner, and these set pieces were remained a constant threat throughout the game. The 2nd goal was a shot from a player who wasn't closed down that went high into the net giving Oscar no chance.
After the initial period the boys slowly started getting a grip on the game. When in possession of the ball they played some really good football particularly in the 2nd half.
On multiple occasions the Hadley Wood keeper came to their rescue and blocked one on one chances.
Mahin Miah was a constant threat on the left and right side of the pitch and was the stand out player.
Shots from Flynn and Joe B hit the woodwork. On another day the boys would have scored 4 or 5 goals but somehow they came away with none.
