Our first league away game this season didn't end well. Again, starting the game with just a bare 11 players meant that any player injuries would leave the team open and as things transpired, thats what happened.
The early game exchanges showed that both teams had similar quality, but Omoina had the best opportunities and after 10 minutes they broke through to score their first goal. Max Westmore pulled up with a painful knee that had troubled him in the warm up and had to go off, leaving a gap in the midfield and passing his captain's armband to Luca. 11 v 10 started to take it toll and by half time the score was 0-4, with Harvesters very much playing on the back foot.
After the players returned to the pitch for the 2nd half, Josh reported having several injury issues from the 1st half encounters, including a pain in his foot and his knee. He battled on for 5 minutes, but couldn't continue and so had to come off, leaving the South team to try and cope with 9 V 11 for most of the 2nd half.
A difficult game for the boys that played the full 70 minutes and very frustrating not to offer Omonia more resistance, but only the efforts from Dan in goal prevented the score line being much worse.
