Harvester under 12's east get 6-3 win

As kick off got under way, the boys had an uphill struggle with the wind against them and a very rough pitch. Any attempt at an attack was very difficult as the wind just made it nearly impossible. Alexandra park had most of the possession with lots of attacks. The defence, Lumley, bowey and Taylor still did a good job but struggled to clear the ball out of their own half. A corner early on saw the ball come of the under side of the cross bar leaving Boulter little chance to keep it out the back of the net.
Still it continued to be a tough first half and it wasn't long before a long shot from outside the box gave the opposition a 2-0 lead.
Lucky for us the wind died down a bit and we had better possession. Mehenge, chan and Patel had more time on the ball and held off some of the dirty tactics. Mehenge took the ball from the middle of the park and ran through the defence to slam it into the back of the net!
If we could keep the score like this till half time we would be in with a chance of taking the win, but a 3rd goal from Alexandra park that Boulter just couldn't keep out saw them take the score to 3-1.
With bulling on for chan. He was determined from the get go. He was getting stuck in and truly found his feet! He made a fantastic run down the right and smashed the back if the net 3-2 game on!
At this point it was pretty even. The ball was all over the place and hard to control, harvesters still having to deal with a lot of shoving and shirt pulling but the ref weren't having none of it and awarded us a penalty. Hills steps up to take and with the bad pitch and wind just manages to tuck it in under the keeper 3-3 half time.
Second half and all was in our favour. From the start the boys had the win in mind. Bulling still on fire and making some great runs. Paul was Also on form having some great runs. A shot from him saw the keeper push it out only for bulling to get on the end of it to make 4-3 to us.
We continued to have most of the possession with hills making a great run down the left and having a shot at goal, only for the keeper to push it out again, and guess who was there to tap it in? Hatrick bulling 5-3 harvesters.
The whole team really had pulled together and had some really good chances. Paul wasn't going home without a goal and his determination soon paid off with a great run bringing the final score 6-3 to us
Great win boys well done.
Man of the match hatrick bulling!
