No fun loosing

With a slightly different starting line up, the boys got off to a good start. We had plenty of possession and had good control of play. There were some good chances and good defending. Boulter was making some great saves and as always Lumley and bowey strong in defence. A free kick on the edge of the box gave us a chance but hills just put it over the bar. With Paul and mehenge on for Proudlock and bulling, who both were having good games. We continued to have good control of the game and wasn't long before a corner from hills into the box saw mehenge get a touch and go in 1-0 up at half time.
Second half saw a different team come out! There were some shocking passes and lack of talking. Midfield were leaving the field wide open and letting the opposition have all the play. A questionable free kick to the Eagles saw them bring to 1-1
Still lacking in urgency and communication it was frustrating to watch. Don't get me wrong it wasn't all bad, each player had there moments of great defending, tackles, headers and runs but overall it wasn't the team we know and love.
It wasn't long before the Eagles were ahead after poor communication again.
But the boys can spring into action and straight from kick off mehenge makes a run through the middle of the park and passes out wide to hills who has a shot from outside the box and buries it in the top corner 2-2 game on!
Still. Both sides battling hard it was the Eagles who got the winning, yet again, questionable goal, with a helping hand!
The boys did battle till the final whistle but sadly a hard to take loss.
