The boys got off to good start with a great cross from hills to Paul who got on the end of it to go 1-0 up. We knew what their strength was, the good old fashion long ball, but we still got caught out and struggled to deal with it. They soon equalized with that long ball game. Bowey, Patel and butcher were still defending well. A few good chances from butcher and Paul hitting the cross bar and a disallowed goal . If it weren't for some great saves from Boulter it could of been a lot worse. Again we got caught out and it was 2-1 to the jets at half time
Second half started and things seemed to have picked up where they left off with yet another goal for the jets. The defence had worked out to stay tight on their striker and Lumley and bowey had it covered with Boulter acting as a sweeper keeper.
But Paul got us back in it and made it 3-2. Bulling had a chance to equalise but couldn't Finish, mahenge but one over the bar but we didn't give up. A run from hills came back of the keeper and at the second time of asking put it in the back of the net to make it 3-3. But straight after kick off we won the ball back and mahenge put us in the lead. Not long after, the opponents heads dropped and mahenge again made it 3-5. Butcher was on the score sheet with a chip that came of the bar and put us 3-6 up. Proudlock put in a cross that found its way to the back of the net. The game was pretty much over at 3-7 but Paul added insult to injury with an amazing shot for his hatrick. The game was over and the boys came out happy with an 3-8 win away from home. Maimon was unlucky not to get on the score sheet with a chance but the keeper got a hand to it. Patel showed great leadership out there today earning him man of the match!
Great team win! Well done boys
