Ready for another muddy Sunday morning and the boys had a sluggish start. With lots of muddy bums the boys were all over the place. Proudlock made a good start and was stepping up to the challenges and making some good tackles.defence also doing a solid job with Taylor and bowey clearing their lines and Patel running back to help out. Midfield struggling a bit to hold onto the ball and fining it tough to break through. Out on the wings, butcher and hills were making making good use of the space and had a few chances, but a good opposition goalie making it hard for them. Chan came on in midfield ( or charging chan as he will be called today) had the eye of the tiger. He was playing with such determination and was wining most of his challenges and also making some good runs at goal. A few chances for bulling too but there was just too much mud for him to stay on his feet. Eventually the break came for Paul from a long ball who ran onto score 0-1 and it was soon half time.
Second half, and an early break from the opposition saw them hit the back of the net, but was called offside ( good job that linesman)
We were quite dominant in the second half and played some nice football. The boys were standing up to some tough play. Mehenge and maimon playing well in midfield. Alexandra park had a few chances but Boulter stood up strong Evan making a great save on the goal line that was a tough call. They did get an equalizer when we switched off and allowed them an easy run.
After that it was a bit of onslaught. Hills, mehenge, butcher and Paul ( nicking it off bulling) all got on the score sheet. Charing chan was Evan up there and unlucky not to get one. He continued his eye of the tiger play and really stood out, and that gave him the parents choice of man of the match.
All in all a good result, with a must win game coming up next week lets hope the boys are ready from kick off next Sunday
Well played boys
