Fine end to the season for East

Harvesters Under 12 East capped a fine season with a 4 -3 win away at second placed Highgate & Muswell Hill. This was a good performance on a nice sunny afternoon in North London. The boys quickly went 1 nil up after Flynn latched onto a long ball and muscled his way in to slip the ball past the keeper. The second goal came after fine work by Joe B and Will W, again Flynn slipped the ball into the corner of the net after being put through. A lapse of concentration just before half time let HMH back in but Flynn scored his hat-rick just before the break to make it 3 -1 at half time.

Straight after the restart HMH pulled a goal back. Then an equaliser came quickly afterwards, a header directed in straight from a corner after some poor defending.

To their credit the boys "steadied the ship" and slowly started to get control back in the game. Alek and Owen distributed the ball well from the back and Bobby held things together as usual. The midfield got stronger and the chances started coming thick and fast. Despite the chances though HMH appeared to be hanging on for a draw. But finally Harvesters got the win they deserved as Flynn spun and shot his forth of the day from the edge of the box.

There was just time for a goal by Job B to be disallowed after good work from Max T who was apparently offside?!

Great support provided throughput the game by the tigerish Joe K, and good industry by Cam and Max S particularly in the 2nd half.

The game ended with a commendable 4 -3 win and rounded off an all round good season
