On a rare game at HOME the boys put in a solid performance against Brady Maccabi Blue.
The first half was tight. Harvesters took the lead through Max Tym. Shortly afterwards Cameron Wilson broke through and was cleaned out by the defender. Bobby Milner put the resulting penalty away with ease. Max Tym then put Harvesters 3 nil up and the boys were coasting.
The Maccabi left back who was their best player on the day then scored a great long range shot to make it 3 -1 and give Maccabi some hope. For a brief period Maccabi rallied and the Harvesters boys needed to show resilience in the period before the break. Will Walker was particularly solid in defence and Joe Burgess was instrumental in a number of the goals.
After half time Harvesters really stepped up. The stage was set for Flynn to step up and score a quick hatrick to make it 7-1.
As the game neared its end, the organisation and discipline from both teams disappeared. In Harvesters case everyone was desperate to get on the score sheet with each cavalry charge of attack.
A final 2 goals from Cameron Wilson capped off a fine 9 -1 win.
