The Leopards blew away the Christmas cobwebs and welcomed in the new year with an afternoon kick off vs Maccabi Lions Blue. The immaculate pitch 2 surface allowed for some eye catching football from both sides during a tight first half which saw Noah McConnell come closest with a flashed header just over the bar.
Into the 2nd half and both teams continued to create chances, Freddie Hill saving bravely in the Leopards goal and Marcel Lukasik coming close with an angled shot. For all their good play, Leopards were short on luck and a bit of quality in front of goal, and found the Lions keeper hard to beat despite their best efforts.
An evenly matched game with plenty to be pleased with + areas to improve.
