It was a high noon duel for the Leopards vs Harrow Stars but it was the home side who had the better of the opening exchanges, Josh Allen swiftly off his line to clear the danger on a couple of occasions and Sammy Roe doing well as the last line of defence. Although in an unfamiliar defensive position, Ahaan Dean grew in confidence as the 1st half developed, making a number of good challenges and bringing the ball out from the back and swapping passes with Archie Young as the visitors launched their own attacks. Max Cooper's introduction gave the team a much needed boost, competing for every ball, he threaded a perfect pass behind the Stars defence leading to Noah McConnell tapping home from close range after a cross from the right.
The game was one of peaks and troughs for the Leopards and an early second half lull led to the home side taking control as the chaps struggled to get a foothold. It's a game of momentum and the boys found some late rhythm and energy as they finished very much on top - good goals from Max Cooper and Alex Keenan plus a neat Marcel Lukasik header from a Sammy Roe corner had the Leopards travelling army baying for more - Harrow were saved by the bell (final whistle) as the boys pushed hard.
A couple of excellent individual performances and positive passages of team play which the squad will look bring together next week vs Enfield Rangers. COYL.
