The Captain Croc WFL division 2017/18 season opener saw the eager Leopard's entertain Woody's Wanderers Hypervenoms.
A very even first half was punctuated with several excellent saves from Noah McConnell, amid a competitive midfield battle, with the home side launching a few raids of their own. These counters paid dividends just before the break with Bailey Holt racing clear after good work from Freddie Hill to shoot into the bottom corner.
"More of the same" was the order for the 2nd half and although the boys continued to work hard they were unable to move and retain the ball in attack as effectively as Woody's had the better of the 3rd quarter. To their credit they stuck to their task and played their way back into the game during the closing stages.
A good game and all round showing against a useful Woody's side.
