The Leopard's (U8's!) sprung back into action after the summer break welcoming a strong Sandridge Rovers Tigers from the West Herts League for a pre season work out.
Any cobwebs were quickly blown away as the home team scored early through Bailey Holt (x2) and Arthur Pitts during a lively first half. Josh Allen pulled on the new team keeper gloves and was inspired into a couple of good stops as the Tigers began to show their teeth toward the break.
The half time oranges were massive (good growing conditions in the Valencia area) and savoured by the Leopards. Into the 2nd half and Marcel Lukasik put his school friendships aside for a short while to compete hard in the middle of the pitch and Noah McConnell took up where he left off last season with an energetic and effective show
A very even and entertaining contest saw Sandridge just shade the closing period, keeping Ahaan Dean busy in nets before a late Bailey Holt strike left the Leopards faithful feeling optimistic about the upcoming WFL Captain Croc campaign.
Good to see the chaps back on the pitch with players, supporters and manager all looking forward to the season. COYL
