Harvesters U15 Girls made the short journey to Parmiter’s School for a league match that started with a thick fog across the pitch.
The girls were on the front foot from the start and forced some good saves from the Watford keeper. It was on 9 minutes when the deadlock was broken. The referee awarded Watford a throw going against the signal from the Watford linesman. They broke upfield and went 1-0 ahead.
The girls continued to force the pace but had to wait until the 32nd minute to equalise when Orla Foley lifted the ball over the defence for Tatyana Barton to run onto and go around the keeper before scoring.
1-1 at halftime and things looking positive.
The second half saw both teams having decent spells of possession but on 65 minutes the Harvesters defence was outnumbered and Watford took the lead again.
The girls continued to press in search of the equaliser and had a chance in the final minute but unfortunately it was cleared and Watford scored another goal on the break and the match finished 3-1 to the hosts.
