U15 Girls lose to Ruislip in League Cup

Harvesters U15 Girls were in League Cup second round action away at Ruislip having had a bye in round one.

Tatyana Barton had an early chance beating the keeper but cleared off the line by a defender. However the early pressure soon saw the girls take the lead when Orla Foley played a sublime ball dissecting the Ruislip defence for Tatyana Barton to run onto and score.

Ruislip equalised when a corner was just bundled over the line. A minute later it was 2-1 to Ruislip when they were first to react to a goal kick.

Directly from kick off Harvesters forced a corner which Rheilly Evans swung in for a Katie Leigh to head home to equalise. Unfortunately on 27 minutes a Ruislip striker was unmarked and made it 3-2 which is how it stayed until half time.

Two minutes into the second half it was 4-2 with a cross and shot. A breakaway on 44 minutes made it 5-2. Good shots saw Ruislip score their sixth and seventh on 52 and 54 minutes.

On the hour Eliza Telford passed to Hollie Thornton who turned and shot beyond the keeper to make it 7-3. One from last night’s training session!

Some unlucky goals to concede and much closer than the four goal difference would suggest.
