Harvesters U15 Girls were up against Watford in the first match of the season.

The girls got off to the perfect start when Tatyana Barton laid the ball off to Lily Palmer who calmly passed to Hollie Thornton to score and make it 1-0 on 3 minutes.

On 6 minutes the scores were level after Gracie Ross had saved but the rebound found a Watford player to score. On 16 minutes Harvesters had a corner which Watford broke away to the other end of the pitch to score.

The girls continued to battle and on 25 minutes Rheilly Evans swung in a corner for Ida Sondergaard to head down for the waiting Tatyana Barton to tap home to level at 2-2.

Unfortunately from the kick off the girls switched off and Watford restored the lead to leave the score 3-2 at half time.

It was 4-2 on 52 minutes but immediately from the kick off Harvesters forced a corner. Rheilly Evans sent it in where it was knocked out to the waiting Lily Palmer who hit it goal bound only for the keeper to parry onto the crossbar. The ball fell to Tatyana Barton to make it 4-3.

Gracie Ross pulled off a string of crucial saves in goal. With time running out Hollie and Tatyana had chances to level but were unable to score. Watford added a fifth with two minutes to play as Harvesters searched for the equaliser.

Great debut performances by both Amy Smith and Radha Castellino.
