U18 North beat U18 South 2-0
By Richard Thornton
Hail, wind, rain with a little sunshine
For the second time this season Harvesters U18 North were drawn against Harvesters U18 South in a cup competition.
With a strong wind blowing from one end to the other North played the first half with the wind. It only took 6 minutes before Ben Spencer whipped in a cross for Reece Sandiford Cam to hit home to make it 1-0.
Despite having most of the possession there was a reluctance to shoot although keeper Ryan Mason hit the post from a punt upfield.
On 20 minutes Ben Spencer floated in a corner which was only cleared to Stan Maisey 20 yards out who volleyed home into the top corner to make it 2-0.
The boys played composed football in the second half and South used the wind to their advantage but there were no more goals.
