By Richard Thornton
The girls go marching on.
Harvesters U14 Girls were up against Chorleywood in the penultimate match of the season.
The girls were on the front foot from kick off and dominated possession but it took until the 8th minute for the first goal to come when Rheilly Evans scored directly from a corner.
That got things going and on 12 minutes Rheilly Evans slid a pass through to Tatyana Barton who beat the keeper. A minute later Eliza Telford worked some magic and found Orla Foley who passed to Tatyana Barton to make it 3-0.
Tatyana Barton then turned provider on 16 minutes when she flicked the ball on to Hollie Thornton to score. On 20 minutes it was 5-0 when Lily Palmer latched onto a Rheilly Evans corner and struck it perfectly beyond the keeper.
Eliza Telford went on a great run on 26 minutes and was brought down in the penalty area. The referee pointed to the spot and Hollie Thornton calmly hit it home to make it 6-0.
Five minutes from half time Eliza Telford pressed forward again and found Ruby Evans who knocked the ball onto Mia Pullan to stab the ball over the line. There was still time for one more goal before the break when Rheilly Evans ran forward and shot to make it 8-0.
A change of formation saw defence and attack swap but that didn’t stop the goals and on 37 minutes Rheilly Evans swung in a corner for Molly Charnock to score her first of the season. Another Rheilly Evans corner on 44 minutes found Mia Pullan to make it 10-0.
Ruby Evans replaced Gracie Ross in goal and on 61 minutes the Chorleywood keeper cleared as far as Gracie Ross who beat the keeper to score her first of the season and finish the match off at 11-0.
