Harvesters U14 Girls were in League Cup Quarter Final action away at Potters Bar. Having played before Christmas with 5 goals scored in the first 8 minutes this was less hectic at the start although Harvesters were on the front foot from the first whistle.
On 16 minutes a throw in deep in the Potters Bar half was worked well to Mia Pullan who returned the ball to Briony Stachini who whipped in a cross for Yasmin Howgego to float into the top corner to make it 1-0. 5 minutes later it was 2-0 when Rheilly Evans got her corner taking right and landed the ball on Katie Leigh’s head and into the back of the net.
All seemed comfortable at halftime however the second half had a twist when on 40 minutes Potters Bar pulled a goal back from a throw in and they were level 2 minutes later following a breakaway deep in their half.
Within a minute it was 4-2 when Lily Palmer had the ball wide on the right and floated the ball over the keeper’s head into the far corner. The girls now knew control at the back would see them through to the semi finals.
