Derby day delight
Harvesters U14 Girls were in league action at home to St Albans City North. Wearing our change kit due to a colour clash the girls set about their business from the first whistle. They pressed without the ball and passed beautifully with it.
On 6 minutes linking on the right wing between Mia Pullan and Eliza Telford resulted in Eliza cutting the ball back to Hollie Thornton to score with a left foot shot. On 22 minutes a corner floated in by Rheilly Evans was hit home by Ida Sondergaard to make it 2-0.
Halftime came and went with the girls keen to get an early goal and they didn’t disappoint when another perfect corner from Rheilly Evans was headed home by Ida Sondergaard. Seven minutes later a long throw from Molly Charnock was headed in by Tatyana Barton.
St Albans pulled a goal back on 45 minutes from a corner. The girls continued to press and on 50 minutes were awarded a free kick which Yasmin Howgego crossed into the penalty area where Mia Pullan was waiting to score and make it 5-1.
It as 6-1 on 62 minutes when Mia Pullan turned provider to lay the ball back to Rheilly Evans to hit a trademark thunderbolt from outside of the area. 4 minutes later Rheilly Evans put in another perfect corner for Yasmin Howgego to volley home to make it 7-1. One minute later it was 8-1 when Rheilly Evans played a superb through ball into the path of Katie Leigh to score.
