Marching on to Finals Day
Harvesters U13 Girls were in fine form in their League Shield semi final against Potters Bar Crusaders.
Early pressure saw Mia Pullan with plenty of possession on the right wing and on 8 minutes one of her superb crosses was touched on by Yasmin Howgego into the path of Hollie Thornton who struck the ball home to put the girls 1-0 up.
On 20 minutes Rheilly Evans played in a through ball to Hollie Thornton who beat the defender and scored with her left foot. Harvesters kept things tight in midfield and defence until half time.
Three minutes into the second half Harvesters were on the attack again and a pass from Rheilly Evans to Priya Crawford was squared to Ruby Evans to beat the keeper and make it 3-0.
On 40 minutes Harvesters had a corner which was floated in by Rheilly Evans and after a scramble for the ball Ida Sondergaard got a shot away which was blocked only for the ball to come back to Priya Crawford to score.
Straight from the restart Lily Palmer won the ball and was then fouled 30 yards from goal. Rheilly Evans hit the perfect free kick which sailed over the keeper’s head to make the score 5-0.
The girls continued to push forward with an eye on maintaining the clean sheet and a place in the final.
