By Richard Thornton
Another close game. The girls deserved something.
Harvesters U13 Girls were in league action at home against Ruislip Rangers. They started brightly with three good chance so in the first five minutes but were unable to score from any of them and the Ruislip keeper looked in good form.
Ruislip began to claw their way into the game and on 17 minutes had a corner which wasn’t cleared and a quick shot found the back of the net. Both teams had further chances in the first half but no goals came.
On 46 minutes Ruislip attacked and Harvesters were unable to get a tackle in or block the shot and Ruislip were 2-0 ahead. From the kick off Ruby Evans passed back to Rheilly Evans who hit the ball forward to the persistent Ruby Evans who had made it into the Ruislip penalty area and hit the shot beyond the oncoming keeper to make it 2-1.
Harvesters were now back in it and went looking for the equaliser. Rheilly Evans hit the bar from a free kick, the keeper saved some chances and then unfortunately a cleared ball from a Harvesters throw on 63 minutes wasn’t challenged on the half way line and Ruislip broke away to score and make it 3-1.
