Please see below from the Watford Friendly League;
Dear All. Please pass this onto your managers and ask them to inform their parents.
We have been made aware that some clubs have been videoing games and concerns have been raised with the League.
I would like to remind clubs that the FA has issued guidance around photography as well as websites and social media.
Whilst filming can take place FA guidance suggests that you share with parents the reasons for filming and how the footage will be used. You may also have to take care in how the footage is stored. You may not have permission to use the footage for something other than what it was originally intended.
The FA website guidance states:
Don’t place pictures of individuals on web pages without the express permission of parents.
We are aware that some clubs are hosting footage on public sites.
You might want to seek clarification from your own County FA when videoing future games and how you can use the footage.
